Butterscotch Cake With Caramel Icing 

Butterscotch cake with caramel icing, is the best idea for special occasion. 

All You Need Is:

  • 2 cups Brown Sugar 
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 2 cups flour 
  • 1 cup Buttermilk 
  • 1 teaspoon baking Soda 
  • 1 teaspoon baking Powder 
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla 
  • 1/2 cup Butter  
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt 

 Instructions: 

Preheat the oven to 350 F° and prepare three 6" round pans using parchment papers. Cream together butter and sugar, until fluffy. Add vanilla, then add eggs one at a time, beating on low just until they are mixed in. In another bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Starting with the flour mixture, add the flour and the buttermilk into the sugar and egg mixture on low speed. 

Then pour the better into the baking pans, and bake for 25-30 minutes. 

Caramel Icing 

All you need is: 

  • 1 1/2  cups brown Sugar 
  •  1/4 cup butter 
  •  1 Tablespoon flour 
  •  1/4 cup milk 
  •  1 teaspoon vanilla 

 Instructions: 

 For caramel icing, mix together 1 1/2 cups brown sugar, 1/4 cup milk and 1 Tablespoon flour in a small saucepan and heat over medium to low heat, stirring frequently. 

Take off the five and in the vanilla and the 2 tablespoons butter. Cool the mixture, occasionally giving it a vigorous stir, until it is still warm and has thickened enough to spread. 

Then spread the Icing over the top and made. Then let in cool for 3 hours before serving.
