How to make an Omelette 

Start your day healthy with as easy skillet breakfast dish. An omelette is a healthy, Fast and easy meal that can be as simple or gourmet as you wan to make it. This recipe is perfect for busy weekdays.

Master the omelette with our simple recipe then add the filling of your choice - fresh herbs, mushrooms, grated cheese, avocado, tomato, ham, and smoked salmon are favourites.

Ingredients:

  • 3 eggs 
  • 3 tablespoons of thick coconut milk (you can substitute with fresh milk)
  • Salt and pepper powder 
  • 1 tablespoon sunflower oil 
  • 1 tablespoon butter 

Method:

🍳 Crack the eggs in a bowl, add the coconut milk, whisk, season with pepper powder and salt and set aside.

🍳 Place the non - stick frying  pan over low heat and warm it for a few seconds.

🍳  Pour in the oil and butter spread it over the frying pan, until the butter has melted and is foaming.

🍳  Add the egg mixture to the pan and as it begins to cook, use a spatula to push cooked parts from the edge to the center of the pan.


🍳  Till the pan ever so slightly from one side to another to allow the eggs to swirl and cover the surface of the pan completely. Repeat once or twice more until the egg just set.

🍳  All the point you can fill the omelette with whatever you like - smoked salmon, avocado, shallots, olives, ham, tomato, cheese, Mushrooms or fresh herbs all work well.

🍳  Till you do this, always prepare the filling first. Omelette cook very quickly so any fillings need to be chopped up and ready to go before starting the eggs.

🍳  Pieces should be chopped finely to pervenrt tearing when the omelette is folded in half. If you decide to add meat like prawns or chicken to the omelette, they must be cooked beforehand.

🍳  Then slide it out of the pan and on to a plate. Serve and eat immediately.
